''The Oxford and Cambridge Magazine'' was a periodical magazine of essays, poems, reviews, and stories, that appeared in 1856 as twelve monthly issues. The magazine was financed by William Morris (1834–1896). It was founded by a number of Oxford University undergraduates including Morris, Edward Burne-Jones (1833–1898), and William Fulford (1831–1882), who referred to themselves as a "Set".〔Fleming, Patrick C.
